Fitting Awnings

Awnings - How Easy are They to Fit?

It will take the average 'DIYer' around 2 hours to fit an awning.

You will need to drill 4 x 10 or 12 mm holes into the property, bolt on the support plates, and then lift the awning into place. This normally takes 2 people.

Do I Need an Electrician?

If you opt for the motorised awning, you will need to drill a hole through the wall for the cable and then wire a standard 3-pin plug, plug it in and you're done. All the controls are by pre-installed remote control. If in doubt, call an electrician.

How Much Room Do I Need to Fit an Awning?

As a rule of thumb, you will need 3 courses of bricks to mount the brackets, although the awning only covers 2 courses.

What If I Have A Single Storey Building?

Call our helpline on 01926 493173, and we can advise. You may need spreader plates to carry the load.

Can the Awning Be Adjusted to Any Angle?

Yes, adjust the bolts at either end of the awning - they allow accurate adjustment for 35° to 65°.
